We were founded by people who wanted to make sure others didn’t endure the same struggles to get an education. No one should have to go days without eating or sleeping to get improve their future. Our goal is simple. Help people, so they may help the community.
Students must complete 1000 hours and maintain above a 3.0 GPA and at least a 92% attendance rate. Exceptions may be made in the events of doctors notes, pregnancies, accidents, etc. Our requirements are strict because we are training for future employment.
Your 100% tax deductible donation will pay for the massage therapy schooling of deserving persons in need. Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar by True Massage Therapy.
True Scholarship Fund 501(c)(3) was started to provide a way for eligible people who may have difficulty improving their future. We do this by the helping people learn the natural healing art of massage.
The CDC estimates opioid misuse costs the United States $78.5 Billion a year. This has resulted in an estimated 69,029 people dying in 2019. That is a 31% increase from 2017. Not only that, 80% of people who use heroin, started by misusing prescription opioids. One epidemic in particular is so bad, Google won’t even allow us state its name unless we “have a certificate to sell it.” Which is the polar opposite of our goal.
Massage therapy can help people who are seeking refuge from pains they may have been suffering from for years or even decades… BEFORE they turn to opioids. Massage increases the body ability to produce its own NATURAL endogenous opioids. This reduces the need to seek other remedies to mitigate their pain. We have had many come in to us while cringing in pain and when they leave, they are smiling from relief.
